I think I may have mentioned before that I am one of those people who is all about baby steps. I know myself well enough and have accepted that. I am not a leaps and bounds person. Forward progress is forward progress and baby steps are manageable. Some days I can take more steps than others but as long as each day I get a little closer to a goal, I am happy. Needless to say, New Year’s Resolutions are not really my thing; just too overwhelming. I know I’ll never keep them so I don’t bother even making them. Imagine my surprise when I found myself interested in Fr Mike Schmitz’s Catechism in a Year Podcast. We can all grow in our faith and I have found him to be very personable and knowledgeable when I have listened to him in the past. Throughout the year he is planning to read and explain the Church’s teachings. I am very sure I will not listen every single day but I am going to try to listen to all of them throughout the year. I have lots of time in the car, emptying the dishwasher, folding laundry, etc. so I should be able to fit these in. The first few are around 16 minutes and I’m hoping that they are small enough steps to keep me on my journey in always growing my faith. Hopefully, I can learn some things to share with all of you!

Have a wonderful and blessed week ~ Eileen Frasier
